How To Play Baccarat Online – A Beginner’s Guide!

Though it may seem complicated at first, Yiwanmen{逸萬門} baccarat is actually a very simple game to understand and play. The object of the game is to correctly predict which of two hands–the “player” or the “banker”–will come closest to having a total point value of nine.

How to play the game:

  • In order to make a prediction, players will first need to familiarize themselves with the point values of the cards. Cards two through nine are worth their face value, while tens, jacks, queens, and kings are each worth zero points. Aces are worth one point. Once the point values of the cards are understood, it is time to place a bet. There are three possible bets that can be made–on the player’s hand, on the banker’s hand, or on a tie between the two hands.

  • If a player bets on the player’s hand and wins, they will receive even money (1-to-1 odds). If they bet on the banker’s hand and win, they will receive even money minus a 5% commission (95-to-100 odds).

  • Once all bets have been placed, each player and the banker will be dealt two cards. If either hand has an initial point total of eight or nine (a “natural”), then that hand automatically wins, and no further cards will be dealt. If both hands have naturals, then it is considered a tie, and all bets are void. If neither hand has an initial total of eight or nine, then a third card may be dealt according to certain rules.

Endnote:

These rules are different depending on whether or not the player has chosen to draw a third card (as described below). Once all cards have been dealt, and all winning bets paid out, another round of betting can begin. Players can choose to continue betting or can cash out their chips and leave the table at any time.
